Margarita (Because its 5:00 pm somewhere)

You know, during these times, you… might want a cocktail…. or 3. Who’s to judge?! I am CLEARLY not judging. I am, in fact, encouraging it. Margaritas have been a staple right now. Why? Because I have a TON of tequila I bought a while back and I said “that is for a rainy day” and guess what my friend. It’s pouring. So, I am pouring myself a glass. Come on by, but keep your distance or better yet, make this one at home. We can zoom or FaceTime and talk about it. Here’s my perfect margarita recipe.

Margaritas and the TV show smash in the background. This margarita is singing to me “Let me be your star”.

Ingredients:

Kosher salt (for serving)
1/2 thick lime (or lemon) wheel
2 ounces (I do 2 shots, because life is short) of tequila (blanco is best, use what you have)
3/4 ounce of fresh lime (or lemon) juice
3/4 ounce of simple syrup

1. Rub the rim of an old fashion glass with lime/lemon and dip in salt. fill with ice and set aside

2. Combine tequila, lime/lemon juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker (or in a metal container filled with ice) shake (if you have the cocktail shaker) or stir aggressively (if using a metal container) until very cold.

3. Strain cocktail into glass, enjoy.

Stay safe and classy my friends!

Keep it cold in your favorite metal container. Margs for dayz.
